A month or so ago Alphaville announced that they would be playing a concert in Toronto, Canada at the end of October.
I procrastinated a bit on setting up my trip, but promised myself that when I got back from St. Louis I would arrange my trip to see the show.
On Monday I bought my plane tickets, rented a car, and reserved a hotel room.
Then guess what? The nex day, my friend Ken points out that they announced that the show was canceled. Unfortunately it was actually canceled on Friday (while I was in St. Louis) and I hadn’t noticed.
So while the hotel & car cancel easily enough, I have to eat the fee for the airline and now have a credit with US Air for a ticket that I have to use in the next 365 days.
Ah well. Mostly I’m bummed that they’re not playing the show after all. I was looking forward to going! Now I wonder if US Air flies to Vegas…
