So Bush released his budget for the next few fiscal years (story). What struck me about it is that there’s nothing in the budget after FY08 for our occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq. Isn’t that a timetable?
Shouldn’t the Democrats be saying, "Thanks Mr. Bush for the timetable?" If Bush comes back and says, "no that’s not a timetable," then they could say "then fix the budget."
They’re letting Mr. Bush have it both ways, and I guess I just don’t understand why.
Then again, maybe that’s why I’m not in politics.
